Before the days of the GPS, we had to manually identify the route (and alternates) for our next trip. Beginning with the starting point and then the destination, you had to manually figure out the best way to get from point A to point B. If you veered off that route for some reason, the process started all over again.
With the introduction of the GPS that’s all changed. You enter your starting point (once) then your destination and it automatically calculates the best route(s) for you. If you veer off course it automatically recalculates.
BIReady software does the same thing for your DW/BI environment. The process starts by putting your data model in to our repository (once). You then define your destination(s) (data marts), BIReady then takes over from there and builds the infrastructure for you.
It builds a normalized Data Warehouse repository for all enterprise data as well as the ETL to populate the warehouse directly from your sources. It then builds the custom data marts that you’ve defined and all of the ETL required to populate those so they’re optimized for your BI tools.
When changes need to be made it will automatically make those changes to all of the environments because it understands the whole picture.
Some of the databases currently supported are: MS Sql Server, Oracle, DB2, Netezza, Teradata and MySQL as well as some of the more popular BI tools such as: Business Objects, Cognos, MS Excel and other reporting tools.
